Andy Cha, CPA and CDFM

Mr. Andy Cha has over 15 years of professional experience with comprehensive experiences in various types of accounting services. His professional experience includes tax, audit, compliance and consulting in both the private sector and public sector.

Mr. Cha originally founded CHA GROUP in 2017 as a way to complete tax returns as favors to his family members; however, he quickly realized that this skill set should be used to help the public in an industry that oftentimes creates more confusion and frustration for the taxpayer. Now, the company serves more than 1,000 clients annually. Mr. Cha has true passion to create personal impact while building deep, meaningful relationships with each client. He believes that he and the CHA GROUP staff can be a trusted advisor for compliance-related services, but also can consult/coach on how to save taxes and increase wealth. As the founder and president of CHA GROUP, Mr. Cha oversees the company’s overall operation and focuses on annual tax preparations, tax planning, accounting services and coaching for individual and small to medium size businesses.

My Story

In his prior professional career. Mr. Cha provided financial management and audit support for Department of Defense (DoD), specifically the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (OUSD), the Department of Army, and the Department of Navy (DoN). He also worked for Big 4 accounting and consulting firms such as Kearney&Company, Deloitte, Ernst&Young and Metrostrat.

He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from James Madison University and currently holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM). Also, he is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).
